Paul is a qualified teacher: he holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Liverpool and a Cambridge University teaching certificate for young learners and adults. English and French are both native languages for him; he also speaks German.

He has taught in secondary schools in the United Kingdom, France and Latin America, covering English, French, mathematics and science from KS3 to GCSE. He has also run English booster sessions with primary schools and taught Special Educational Needs classes.

In Monaco, Paul spent five years tutoring two pupils from the International School of Monaco in English, French and mathematics. He therefore knows that school’s curriculum from the inside — its pace and the amount of homework it sets — which is a valuable reference point for families with children there.

He teaches patiently and warmly, varying his approach until he finds the one that reaches the student, and working first and foremost to rebuild their confidence in the subject.
