Romain
English teacher
CELTA certified (Cambridge). English and French at C2 level, following a year of university study in the United States.
Romain teaches English. He holds the Cambridge CELTA — the benchmark qualification for English language teaching — completed through a course that included assessed teaching practice with real learners.
His English is at C2 level, built on a year of university study in the United States at Carroll University, where he took a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics while teaching French as a Second Language as an assistant lecturer. He also studied at Sciences-Po Bordeaux and holds a Master’s degree from Université Panthéon-Assas. He speaks German at B1 level.
Since 2012 he has taught one-to-one in France, from primary through to the end of secondary school, as well as online to both children and adults. His teaching is student-centred and organised around concrete tasks: you learn to do something with the language, not merely to know its rules.
That experience of moving between languages — and between school cultures — makes him particularly useful to families in Monaco whose children need to make rapid progress in English.
